So this is a remake of the second foamcore gun I designed. The original which didn't have the trigger (i figured it was just one less thing that could break) was damaged when i moved. I put it in a box, and as a result, the firing hammer tore pretty much clean off.

This is my new foamcore .357 Magnum. It was made to scale using a vinyl template (which i made myself using illustrator CS2, then printed on an HP Designjet 8000) applied to foamcore, cut out using an exacto, and then constructed using 1" double sided banner hemming tape. 5 layers thick, technically. the only place where it is 5 layers thick is on the revolver.

I still think this is one of my cooler models. Relative to my other pistol designs i guess. It's kind of hard to compare it to my 3 latest foamcore endeavors.

Enjoy!

Amazing! That is made of foam? It's a brillant job.

Yeah, i make it with layers of 1/4 inch foamcore. It's a layer of foam between 2 layers of paper. Also called foamboard i think.

You should check out the Mac-10 i just completed.
